Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Oncology
Our Musculoskeletal Oncology Fellowship Program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (RNJMS) is ACGME accredited. This educational experience allows the fellow to have broad exposure to musculoskeletal neoplasms and diseases and to learn the latest diagnostic and therapeutic techniques of biopsy and reconstruction including endoprosthetics, tissue transplantation and amputation. The fellow is expected to become involved in research and prepared for a career in academic orthopaedic surgery.
The fellow will be involved in the care of all patients seen by three full-time musculoskeletal oncology attendings, and will participate in multidisciplinary conferences and planning as well as take part in the pathologic processing and evaluation of all surgical specimens. In preparation for their future as academic surgeons, fellows will also be expected to participate in the education and training of residents and medical students.
