Neil Kaushal, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon at Rutgers North Jersey Orthopedic Institute (NJOI), and an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS).

Dr. Kaushal completed his orthopedic surgery training at New York Medical College, where he served as administrative chief resident.  His pediatric orthopedic and scoliosis fellowship was completed at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.

Dr. Kaushal treats children and young adults with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including:

  • Scoliosis
    • Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis
    • Neuromuscular scoliosis
    • Early Onset Scoliosis
  • Pediatric trauma
  • Developmental dysplasia of the hip
  • Neuromuscular disorders, including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and spinal muscular atrophy

Dr. Kaushal is an attending physician at University Hospital and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.  He also serves as the faculty advisor for the New Jersey Medical School orthopaedic surgery clerkship.

He has authored several peer-reviewed publications, and presented at local and national conferences.

Following an orthopaedic residency in New York at the New York Medical College/ Westchester Medical Center, Dr. Kaushal did a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics and scoliosis at the Children's Hospital of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.
